Erin is the proud owner of the Brooklyn Bead Box, a success that has brought her full circle from her beginnings as a young beader in her native California.

Erin was turned onto beading as a kid, taking classes in jewelry making and hanging around her local bead shop. She eventually began selling her jewelry at this time to various boutiques on the West Coast.

Erin headed to NYC to pursue a career in textile design, hand screening, and printing her own t-shirts, but her love of beading drove her to open up the BBB, a friendly Brooklyn staple in the creative arts.

While she also enjoys knitting, traveling, and fashion, Erin has a special affinity for semi-precious stones: moonstone, labradorite, citrine, and ruby topping the list of favorites. Erin is a master at wire wrapping, preferring 14k gold wire and multiple strand designs.

Sharon studied Art Education right here in Brooklyn, NYC, explaining the great satisfaction she feels from teaching others how to master and enjoy the techniques needed to create beautiful things.

As the mama of the team, Sharon takes great pleasure in assisting the youngest of beaders while talking shop with the moms.

When Sharon isn’t beading at the BBB, she is working on her own jewelry line, promoting her poetry in various publications and community readings, and working on her first book of vignettes, much inspired by the chit chat shared in the studio.

Briolette beads and 14k gold wire are her favorite mediums, and Sharon thinks Labrodorite stones are just about the prettiest of them all, aside from her lucky lucid birthstone, the Aquamarine.
